Santa Claus Butter board
Pondering a Christmas menu option? Prepare a butter board. These boards along with charcuterie boards are always in demand. Everyone can build their own sandwich according to their taste and get the perfect product. and to get your guests in a festive mood, decorate the board in the shape of a cute Santa. It's not difficult at all and even a culinary novice can do it. For the recipe you can use classic butter or varieties of composition butter with light fillings – honey, cottage cheese or nut butter. Instead of butter, add cheeses, vegetables, berries, nuts and herbs to the board without forgetting the composition. You can replace the cherry tomatoes in our version with cranberries or bell peppers.
Ingredients for Santa Claus Butter board
1-1/2 cup butter
1-2 tsp. sesame seeds
pinch of salt flakes
1 tbsp. grated parmesa
10 mini mozzarella balls
10 cherry tomatoes
11/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 cheese snowflake, sprig of rosemary, 8 elderberries or black rowan berries, and 1 cranberry berry.
Instructions for your Santa Claus Butter board
1. Turn the heart-shaped board over. You can also use a regular board or tray. Place the heart-shaped parchment paper on it. Cut some of the cherries into quarters and arrange them around the perimeter of the future Santa hat. Cut the mini mozzarella in half and arrange in place of the ponpon and puffs.
2. Warm the butter at room temperature for one hour. With a tablespoon, scoop small pieces of butter and place around the perimeter of the board to form beards and whiskers. Help yourself with a second boat if necessary.
3. Sprinkle the butter with parmesan and white sesame seeds. You can additionally add a little salt.
4. Decorate the cap with snowflakes and rosemary. Drizzle the tomatoes with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Your Santa is ready! The board can be placed in the center of a festive table, topped with swooshing whole-wheat bread or tortillas.
Make sure there are enough utensils for everyone to make their own sandwich. Additional sauces of cranberries, figs or honey are not unreasonable. Have a Merry Christmas!
