Heart Shaped Pop-Tarts

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Pie Crust
  • Strawberry Jam
  • Heart Cookie Cutter
  • Fork
  • 2 tablespoons of Melted Butter
  • Basting Brush
  • 12 oz. bag of White Melting Chocolate
  • Piping Bag
  • Valentine's Day Sprinkles
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper

Instructions
 

  • Start by rolling out one pie crust.
  • Spread strawberry jam on top, leaving about a ½ inch gap around the edge. Try not to make it too thick where it wants to squeeze out the sides.
  • Place the second pie crust evenly on top.
  • Use your heart shaped cookie cutter to begin cutting out hearts. Put them close together, so you can get as many as possible. I got about 8 hearts.
  • Using a fork, press your edges together, firmly.
  • Coat the top of each pop tart with melted butter, before placing in the oven.
  • Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool.
  • Place your melting chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 45 seconds intervals, stirring after, until fully melted and smooth. Pour into a pipping bag.
  • Cut a small tip off.
  • Carefully pipe your melted chocolate on top of your pop tarts. Sprinkle with Valentine’s Day sprinkles.
  • Serve and enjoy this tasty little breakfast treat.
