Sausage Crescent Rolls

  • Silicone mat

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb bulk pork sausage regular or spicy
  • 1/2 cup diced red pepper
  • 1 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2 tubes 8 oz each crescent rolls
  • Kosher or sea salt
  • Black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 green onion sliced (topping, optional)
  • tomatoes diced, optional for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat a skillet to medium-high and cook sausage with salt and pepper until browned. Add diced red pepper and cook until softened. Stir in cream cheese until combined.
  • Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Unroll crescent rolls into rectangles, sealing perforations.
  • Spread sausage mixture over the dough, roll tightly, and freeze for one hour.
  • Slice logs into pieces and bake at 350°F for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
  • Serve warm with optional toppings.
