Why This Recipe is Perfect for Any Occasion

This charcuterie bouquet is not just a treat for Valentine’s Day—it’s a versatile and impressive addition to any celebration. Perfect for wedding anniversaries, bridal showers, or even a cozy movie night, it combines elegance and convenience. Guests will love the mix of savory and sweet elements, and the bouquet doubles as both a conversation starter and a delicious snack. With its adaptability, you can tailor it to suit seasonal ingredients or personal preferences.

Ingredients Needed for Your Charcuterie Bouquet

The beauty of this recipe lies in its flexibility. Here are the essential components and their roles:

  • Tangerines and Grapes: Add vibrant color and a refreshing sweetness that balances the salty meats and cheeses.
  • Salami and Other Deli Meats: These provide a hearty, savory base and can be folded into intricate rose shapes for visual appeal.
  • Semi-Hard and Lavender Cheese: Offer a mix of creamy and nutty flavors; the lavender cheese introduces a unique aromatic note.
  • Mini Babybel Cheeses: Their wax wrapping adds a pop of red, tying in the romantic Valentine’s theme.
  • Breadsticks or Cracker Sticks: Create structure and add a crunchy element.
  • Cherry Tomatoes and Lettuce Leaves: Brighten the bouquet with fresh, juicy accents and serve as the edible “greenery.”

Instructions for Your Charcuterie Bouquet

Crafting this bouquet is easier than it looks:

  1. Prepare the Fruits and Vegetables: Peel and section the tangerines, and thread them onto skewers alternately with grapes. Do the same with cherry tomatoes, keeping the arrangement balanced.
  2. Fold the Deli Meats: Create roses by folding salami slices into quarters, layering them, and rolling them tightly. Secure with skewers.
  3. Shape the Cheese: Use cookie cutters to create heart shapes from lavender cheese slices. Roll semi-hard cheese into roses using overlapping slices.
  4. Assemble the Bouquet: Lay lettuce leaves as a base on a round wooden board. Arrange the skewers and breadsticks in a radial pattern, filling gaps with greens and smaller elements.
  5. Finish with Flair: Wrap the bouquet in food-safe parchment and tie it with a ribbon for a polished look.

Ways to Serve Your Charcuterie Bouquet

This bouquet pairs beautifully with a variety of accompaniments. Serve it alongside dipping sauces like honey mustard or balsamic glaze for added flavor. Pair it with crackers, artisan bread, or a side of marinated olives. For beverages, sparkling wine or a crisp rosé enhances the experience. Place it as a centerpiece on your dining table, and let guests dismantle it piece by piece for an interactive dining experience.

Variations for Your Recipe

Personalize your bouquet to suit your taste or occasion:

  • Seasonal Ingredients: Swap out fruits and vegetables based on availability, such as figs in fall or strawberries in spring.
  • Meat and Cheese Variety: Experiment with prosciutto, pepperoni, or smoked gouda for a different flavor profile.
  • Dietary Preferences: Make it vegetarian by omitting meats and adding more roasted vegetables, nuts, or vegan cheeses.
  • Themes: Adapt the design for other holidays by changing the color scheme or using festive cutters for cheese shapes.

Bouquet Charcuterie

Ingredients

  • 1-2 tangerines
  • 1/3 cup grapes
  • 3 1/2 ounces’ salami
  • 2 ounces’ semi-hard cheese
  • 3 large cracker sticks or breadsticks.
  • 2 oz. lavender cheese
  • 3 Mini Babybel
  • 6-7 lettuce leaves
  • 3-4 cherry tomatoes

Instructions

  • Peel the tangerine, cut it into slices and remove the seeds. Thread tangerine slices and grapes alternately onto skewers. Thread the cherry tomatoes onto the skewers one at a time. 2.Fold the salami circles in four and connect them in pairs. Secure them with a skewer. Make three blocks of salami and finish the assembly with black grapes or olives. For the rose design, cut the circles in half and fold them overlapping. Roll the salami strip into a roll. The more slices of salami, the lusher the rose will be. Tip a piece of lettuce leaf and the rose.
  • 3.Cheese roses are decorated in the same way. Cut a small section from a slice of semi-hard cheese and roll it into a roll. Wrap the cheese slices in a circle and secure the rose with a skewer.
  • 4.Unmold the lavender cheese into 1/3-inch thick slices. Cut out hearts with a cookie cutter and secure them to the skewers. On the Babybel cheese wax, outline a small heart and remove the wax, being careful not to damage the wrapping strip. Thread the Babybel onto the skewer.
  • To assemble the bouquet, take a round wooden board with a handle and lay out the lettuce leaves on the board. Arrange the stick crackers and prepared skewers as rays centered on the handle. Lay out the ingredients so that you fill the board evenly. Fill the voids with lettuce leaves.
  • Decorate the bouquet – wrap with brown food-grade paper or dark parchment. Tie a ribbon around the handle. Your charcuterie board edible bouquet is ready. Serve it alongside dipping sauces, honey and saltine crackers. Complete the serving with sparkling wines or other beverages of your choice. Have a happy Valentine’s Day!
