DIY Soft Scrub Instructions
Supplies Needed For DIY Soft Scrub
Baking Soda
Soap
Funnel (if you are not using a mason jar. I do suggest using it because of the baking soda)
Measuring cup (I use a glass 1 cup measuring cup)
Tablespoon measuring spoo
¼ cup measuring cup
Mason Jar (I opted to make one in the smaller mason jar that is 8 ounces)
Essential Oils (I used lemon essential oil, but scent is your choice)
Instructions For DIY Soft Scrub
Measure ¼ cup of baking soda and put in the mason jar (use the funnel if you need to, it makes it a little bit easier so it doesn’t spill all over the place)
I then added 2 Tablespoons of baking soda to the mason jar.
Measure 1 Tablespoon of castille soap and put it in the mason jar.
Put 10-15 drops of essential oil into the mason jar (this is optional, you don’t need the essential oils, it's just more for the smell)
Fill the rest of the rest of the jar with water (you can use distilled water but it is not necessary)
-
Before each use, shake the mason jar or whatever container you put the mixture in. The mixture will settle when not in use so you will see the ingredients separate.
-
If you want to make more, just double the recipe. For a large mason jar the recipe would be: 1 cup baking soda, 3 Tablespoons of castile soap, 10-15 drops of essential oils and the rest filled with water.
In conclusion, making your own soft scrub cleaner is a simple and cost-effective way to keep your home clean without the use of harsh chemicals. With just a few basic ingredients, you can create an effective cleaner that is safe for both your family and the environment. Give it a try and see the difference it makes in keeping your surfaces clean and shiny. Not only will you save money, but you'll also have peace of mind knowing exactly what goes into the products you use in your home. So next time you need some cleaning done, don't reach for the store-bought cleaners – make your own soft scrub instead!
