The Dollar Tree Carrot Patch Wreath has become an incredibly popular item for Easter decor in recent years. This simple and affordable DIY project combines the charm of spring with the festive spirit of Easter, making it a must-have for any holiday decorating.
At its core, the Dollar Tree Carrot Patch Wreath is a wreath made out of artificial carrots and greenery, often adorned with colorful ribbons and other embellishments. The concept is inspired by traditional carrot patches found in gardens during springtime, but with a whimsical twist that adds a playful touch to your home decor.
One of the main reasons for its popularity is its affordability. As the name suggests, all the materials needed to make this wreath can be found at your local Dollar Tree store for just a few dollars. This makes it an ideal project for those on a budget or looking for a fun and inexpensive activity to do with kids.
Another reason why this wreath has gained such popularity is its simplicity. With just a few basic supplies and easy-to-follow instructions, anyone can create their own beautiful carrot patch wreath in no time. No prior crafting experience or special skills are required, making it accessible to everyone.
Additionally, the versatility of this wreath is another factor contributing to its widespread appeal. While traditionally used as Easter decor, many people have also incorporated it into their everyday home decor as well. It can easily be customized with different colors or embellishments to fit any theme or style.
Dollar Tree Carrot Patch Wreath Instructions
Supplies for your Dollar Tree Carrot Patch Wreath
2 Dollar Tree 14 inch wire wreath forms
1 package of speckled eggs (6 come in a package)
1 Package of the twine carrots
1 Dollar Tree Carrot Patch Sig
About 12 zip ties (I got mine in a package from dollar tree)
2 packages of decorative shred in brown (found where the gift bags are)
Scissors
Black and white wire ribbon (I found some at dollar tree)
Dollar tree twine
Hot Glue Gun (this is optional for a more secure bow)
Instructions for your Dollar Tree Carrot Patch Wreath
Take one of the wreath forms and flip it over so the curved side is facing down.
Next inside the wire section generously fill it with the decorative shred. I used about 1.5 bags. You can fill it spots at the end if you want a fuller look.
Next I laid out the eggs and carrots, alternating them. I then placed the other wreath form on top with the curved edge on the top. This will create sort of a cage for the carrots and eggs. I secured it with zip ties. I used 8 zip ties. Trim the ends of the zip ties
I made a basic bow with a wire ribbon. I cut a piece of ribbon that was 7 inches, and a piece that was 11 inches. I folded them so the ends overlapped and placed the small section over the top section and pinched the center. I then cut a section about 11 inches, folded it in the middle and used a zip tie. I then wrapped some twine around the center of the bow to cover the zip tie. To make the bow more secure you could also add some hot glue. I then used a zip tie to attach the bow to the top wire section.
To attach the carrot patch sign, I used a zip tie through the hole at the top and weaved the zip tie through two of the wire parts of the wreath form to secure it.
